As we linger on the ever-elusive cusp of Spring, there is much to look forward to as renewal precedes the season!  And where better to start than Uptown.

I.  Spill the Wine, New Location

Moving from Washington Ave. to the intersection of Lake and Bryant, Spill the Wine has helped to give a sense of revitalization to the area.  Featuring regional wines and a menu of small plates, the restaurant in its new location will be able to enjoy and extend its late night hours.  Katie Greeman, owner, and Chef Craig Johnson, both MN natives, will surely become a fixture of local, sustainable, and inspired fare.

II.  Rincon 38

A new, neighborhood tapas bar has opened at 38th and Grand.  Chef Hector Ruiz, of Cafe Ena, brings a diverse range of influences, from Italian, Spanish, to French, to conceptualizing tapas and opening up an exciting variation in the tempo of Minneapolis restaurants.

❤  Origami Restaurant

One of my favorite sushi joints has joined the gamut of Uptown restaurants and is officially open!  Origami has great sushi, a wide array of sake selections, and an outstanding bar program.  We’re going this Thursday and I can’t wait!  Hopefully their new nest will be filled with good luck, fortune, and perfectly wonderful sushi dishes.
